AIWA
AIWA stands for Arab Interest Women Association. We are a group of individuals aspiring to promote Arab culture and embark in philanthropic, social and academic efforts so as to strengthen ties between the students at UCLA and the Arab and female communities.
AIWA's mission
The purpose of the Arab-Interest Women's Association (AIWA) is to provide its members with a community of like-minded individuals and to promote interest in Arab culture. This organization works to empower Arab women by discussing relevant issues to the Arab and female communities and embarking in philanthropic, social, and academic efforts to strengthen ties among its members.
AIWA, pronounced aye-wa means "YES!" in Arabic. This space is all encompassing regardless of gender identity, ethnicity or race!
